The Pulmonary Rehabilitation program at Mercy Medical Center is Idaho's first and only American Association for Cardiovascular Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR) accredited program in the Treasure Valley. The program helps people with chronic breathing problems achieve the most active and fulfilling life possible. If you have been diagnosed with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), which includes chronic bronchitis and emphysema, asthma, restrictive lung disease or other breathing problems, Mercy's Pulmonary Rehabilitation program can help you begin a healthier life.

Mercy's experienced Pulmonary Rehabilitation team assists you in achieving your goals through physical conditioning, breathing re-training, bronchial hygiene, stress management, and counseling. Our program can help you increase your activity level and self-confidence, improve your ability to care for yourself, reduce the number of times you require hospital admission, and shorten the length of your hospital visits.

After your physician refers you to the program, our Pulmonary Rehabilitation team will work closely with you and your physician to design a program tailored to your goals and needs. Personalized instruction and classes on lung disease, medications, diet and nutrition, relaxation, and breathing techniques are available to you and your family or support people.
