ABOUT MEALS ON WHEELS

Over 30 years ago, the Mercy Medical Center Meals on Wheels program was created to provide meals to the elderly and homebound in our community. Meals on Wheels provides over 20,000 meals annually and currently has a waiting list for qualified persons. Federal and State funding for Mercy's Meals on Wheels program does not fully fund the program. In order to sustain the number of meals currently provided, additional monies must be raised.

On Saturday, May 31, 2008, Mercy Medical Center will host the 3rd Annual Meals on Wheels Bowl-a-Thon at the Nampa Bowl. All money raised goes to Meals and Wheels. We hope you would consider supporting this event by becoming a sponsor or by creating a team to participate in this worthwhile endeavor.
