A Message From the President:
The four pioneering Sisters of Mercy who began this great organization
would be pleased by how we are continuing their mission. Mercy
Medical Center, a member hospital of Catholic Health Initiatives,
is committed to faithfully extend the healing ministry of Jesus
Christ with Reverence, Integrity, Compassion and Excellence.
Speaking of excellence, Mercy has invested a significant amount
of capital in new technology and equipment. We have the latest
and best CT scanner and MRI in the country. We were also the
first hospital in the country to offer the Galileo computerized
system for orthopedic surgery, and we were the first hospital
in the State of Idaho to offer the endoscopy “pill.”
Our focus on excellence not only includes technology. We have
been recognized nationally for our very high scores on the Joint
Commission accreditation process. In 1999, we were the only hospital
in the State of Idaho to receive accreditation with commendation
from the Joint Commission. In 2002, we received one of the highest
scores in the state at 96 percent.
We have also focused on several initiatives to excel in patient
satisfaction. Our employees are committed to customer service
and patient-directed care. Some of the best physicians in the
country practice at Mercy Medical Center and they, along with
our terrific staff, are working hard to make sure that your encounters
with us are always positive, healing, and completely satisfying.
If you are looking for employment, Mercy Medical Center is
striving to be the best place to work in the Northwest! Come
by, call, or e-mail us to find out about employment opportunities
at Mercy Medical Center.
In your service,
Joe Messmer
